The crowned heart symbol has been used to express love and fidelity since the 17th Century, with its literal meaning of the crowned heart symbol could be translated to 'let love rule'! With the heart representing love and the crown a symbol of loyalty, these rings were often used as betrothal rings.

This particular example is more colourful than usual, since it is centered by a pear-shaped cabochon-cut turquoise, topped by a crown set with fourteen tiny rose-cut diamonds.

Condition: The ring is in antique condition with signs of wear, consistent with its age. The ring shank was replaced in the past.
